PayPicks Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PayPicks collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PayPicks app and related public pages.

Data We Collect

This section is intended to match PayPicks' Google Play Data safety declaration in plain language.

  • Name: You may enter a preferred display name. We use it to show the name you chose on your public payment-link page.
  • Purchase history: Subscription status and entitlement details may be processed through Apple App Store and Google Play. We use this to manage paid features such as ad removal. PayPicks does not collect or store credit card or payment card numbers.
  • Other user-generated content: You may enter payment service usernames. We use this to create the payment-link page content you choose to publish.
  • App interactions: App and ad interaction data may be processed by Firebase, Google services, or AdMob. We use this for app functionality, ads, security, and service improvement.
  • Crash logs and diagnostics: Crash and diagnostic data may be processed to find bugs and improve reliability.
  • Device or other IDs: Device, app, advertising, or Firebase identifiers may be processed by Firebase, Google services, AdMob, or app-store services. We use these for app functionality, ads, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and subscription verification.

Camera Access

PayPicks requests camera access only for QR scanning. Camera images are processed on-device and are not uploaded or stored by PayPicks.

PayPicks generates public payment-link landing pages. Anyone with your payment-link URL or QR code may be able to view that public page and use the payment options you have chosen to publish.

Services We Use

  • Firebase for app infrastructure.
  • Cloud Firestore to store app and payment-link data.
  • Firebase Functions for server-side processing, including subscription verification flows.
  • Google AdMob to show ads in applicable app experiences.
  • In-app purchase/subscription providers (Apple App Store and Google Play) for subscription processing and entitlement verification.

Subscriptions and Purchases

If you purchase a subscription, purchase and entitlement details are processed through Apple and/or Google and verified by PayPicks backend services to manage access levels. PayPicks does not collect or store credit card or payment card numbers.

How We Use Data

  • Provide QR and payment-link sharing functionality.
  • Display public payment-link landing pages you choose to publish.
  • Maintain app security and reliability.
  • Manage ads and subscription entitlements.

Data Sharing

We share data with service providers only as needed to operate PayPicks (for example Firebase, AdMob, Apple, and Google billing systems). We do not sell personal data.

Data Retention

PayPicks payment-link records include fields such as displayName, paymentMethods, usernames/handles inside payment methods, createdAt, and expiresAt. These temporary records are designed to expire and may be automatically deleted using Firebase TTL policies. Expired payment-link records are automatically deleted afterward according to PayPicks’ data-retention process.

Some records may be retained as needed for billing, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcing our agreements.

Google Play Data Deletion Scope

Temporary payment-link records expire automatically. Free links expire after 24 hours, and PayPicks Premium links expire after 72 hours. Expired payment-link records are automatically deleted afterward according to PayPicks’ data-retention process. Platform and service-provider records may follow their own retention policies.

Other records may be subject to retention exceptions or controlled by platform/service providers, including:

  • Subscription entitlement and verification records
  • Anonymous authentication identifiers and related auth metadata
  • AdMob and analytics-related data processed by Google services
  • Operational logs, security logs, and billing-related records

Where data is controlled by third-party providers (for example Apple, Google Play, Firebase, or AdMob), retention and deletion behavior may follow those providers' policies.

Children's Privacy

PayPicks is not intended for children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
